  Planet Observation

While Saturn and its rings have captivated observers for hundreds of years, the full wonder of this planet and its satellites is only just being realized.

Saturn is the one object, apart from the Moon, that always gets a gasp .of delight from first-time telescope viewers. Once known as the Ringed Planet, we now know that Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune also have rings. However, Saturn's rings are the only ones you can see in any backyard telescope, and once seen, that tiny image is truly unforgettable.
